Is ImageJ using JAI?

Hi everyone,
I have a question about ImageJ:
Is ImageJ using JAI(Java Advanced Imaging) as its framework?
If its true, can you name the classes?
Until now I have only seen classes using AWT components from JRE.
Any help will be appreciated!
