Text Window with Colored Text

Is there a way to control the text color in a new Text Window object?  I don't see any direct methods to control the text color in the class.  I also tried setting the foreground and background colors from the Edit->Options->Colors menu before creating my Text Window, but no luck there either.  

If anyone has a solution, I would be most appreciative.
