Doppler Wave-Form Analysis

Hi,

I'm looking for a bit of assistance with using ImageJ for doppler echo analysis.

I'm hoping to be able to use the edge detection function in ImageJ to trace the edge of a pulse-wave doppler envelope from a pulsed-wave echo image still frame. I hope to be able to plot the points of the edge on the x and y axis and export the data into an excel file.

I've have a fiddle with the software, but am struggling to get a smooth enough edge from the echo frame, and am unsure of how to sort out scaling/ calibration issues- ie on the echo, the x-axis is in seconds, and the y-axis in m/sec.

If anyone has any ideas of how I could use ImageJ to achieve this aim reliably, I'd appreciate your suggestions.
