Hi Mike,

sometimes we have noticed similar things.

To get this fixed,
please send to Curtis and Melissa of the bio-formats file reader team
an example of a misbehaving file...

they are cc'd to this email.

only with concrete examples in the hands of the software developers can these little but annoying problems be solved!
