Restore selection - save image

Hello

I have an issue while trying to save images after restoring selection. I
want to save an image along with the selections. I guess I had previously
done this in the following way


source image - create selection
destination image - restore selection - convert to RGB - Draw - save

However this doesnt work anymore. My saved image does not have the
selections in them. Can someone tell me what i am possibly doing wrong here.
