Hi Fernando,

the wand tool (8-connected mode; double-click to set the mode) and the
particle analyzer do the same. Also 'Find Maxima' is 8-connected.
So, if it works with the 8-connected wand, it should also work with these.

I don't think that the particle analyzer has a 4-connected mode, but look
at Gabriel Landini's web page, I think he has an alternative that does
4-connected particles.
