        Interesting!  I did not know about Micro-Manager.  I downloaded it and while it _does_ communicate with the Fire-I cameras there are still some functions lacking; but it _is_ a good place to start.

P.S. - I leave it open to everyone that l am still interested in hearing which cameras (USB & 1394, grayscale & color) you're using with OS X.
