Split Channels Macro Language Bug

To all:

I have a series of 16-bit RGB images that I need to process to recombine
r g and b channels from separate images.  I can manually open an image,
and then split the channels into 3 16 bit monochrome images.  However,
when I incorporate the run("Split Channels"); command into a macro, it
returns an error saying this can only be done with RGB files.

Any help will be appreciated.
