help interpreting particle count output

Dear users,

I am new to Image and need help interpreting the Particle Counting output. I have set my scale to 100um, threshold my image and used the analyze particle function. The output gives for example, a total area of 92,758 is this in pixels or in um or per 100um? see below.

Slice Count Total Area Average Size Area Fraction Mean
        198          92,758            468.475     8.6         255

I appreciate any clarification.
