Finding shapes

Hello

I have an image and after using the "Find Edge" option, i get most of the
non homogeneous structures in my image. but i want to avoid certain shapes
which correspond to triangle or polygons. I am attaching the image to get a
better impression. could someone please help me to avoid these shapes from
my final image.  Is there some way to recognize these shapes and avoid them.
