Don,
Try the Shape descriptor plugin. It has some options to exclude
particles based on their shape. However, you will need to process the
image differently before thresholding. You will probably need to
apply the watershed option after thresholding too. Can you send the
original image?
Once you have a binary image with single particles, run a full
analysis first and then verify the shapes that describe the particles
you want to remove. RUn the plugin again and use the shape values as
thresholds for removing the particles.
