particle volume analysis

Hi, I have microstructure (particles in micron), I was wondering if I can do volume analysis with Image J based on microstructure picture, or is there any
plugins that can help me excecute this problems. In addition for that if the plugins has an ability to do volume analysis, how does it assume that particles
are spherical, cylinder, irregular etc.
