same problem here (freeze on "run startup scripts"), already the first time
I tried it, on several different installations!

Hi,
Could you try adding jedit.jar to the classpath in the cfg file anyway ?
I'll send you tomorrow a working windows installation. The freeze at 'run
startup scripts' has been reported by several users, but I could not fix it
so far.
