Hi,

There is a thumbnail viewer based on BioFormats and ImageJ called Focal
Point:
http://www.bioinformatics.bbsrc.ac.uk/projects/focalpoint/

When I tested it it was working but not vey polished. You can try it to see
if it does what you want.

On a Windows machine my image viewer of choice was DIMIN Viewer, as it
support Metamorph .stk file format :
