First off, it would have been nice to address the Fiji developers
directly (there is a user's mailing list: [hidden email]).

Second, the Fiji distribution for MacOSX includes support for 64-bit
(Intel) systems right out of the box.

In other words: yes.  It has been released already.

P.S.: If you are talking about PowerPC64 Mac: no, it is not possible, and
you can thank Apple for that.  They will not release any 64-bit Java for
PowerPC64.  Unfortunate.
