We purchased a DV-2001
http://www.tvone.com/dv-2001.shtml for exactly that purpose. We were running a perfectly good but old Optronics camera with an ISA card, when the Win98 computer died. The converter works very simply and well with ImageJ on our Mac OSX.

Subject: Analog to firewire converters
I have a 14-year old imaging system with analog video cameras that still work fine. I'm using the
Scion CG-7 framegrabber with the Mac running OS9. I simply need to replace this computer.
However, these cameras are still working just fine, and I can't seem to find a framegrabber that will
work in the newer Mac Pro. Someone suggested to me that I simply purchase an analog-firewire
converter, and use that firewire input to a new Mac.
Will ImageJ be capable of capturing images from such input?
Thanks for any advice!
