Thank you all for the replies.

It worked with alt+<> after upgrading the ImageJ.

(Actually I thought I was using the latest version, since I only paid attention to the last letter but not the number of the version. Then I realized that I was using 1.41o not 1.42o ......... Sorry for this stupid question).

In your orignial post you say you are using ImageJ v1.41o. Hyperstacks
shortcuts were added only recently, so you should probably upgrade to the
latest version of ImageJ and try again.
