If T>1, it writes the current t-series (e.g., the "Mitosis" sample 5D  
stack, added in v1.42o), with the channels merged. if T=1 and Z>1, it  
writes the z-series (e.g., the "Confocal Series" and "Organ or Corti"  
sample 4D stacks), with the channels merged. If T=1 and Z=1, it writes  
the channels (e.g., the "Neuron" sample image).
