Hi Bob,
with Windows, I had no trouble to get RXTX running -
put RXTXcomm.jar into Program Files\ImageJ\jre\lib\ext
put rxtxSerial.dll into Program Files\ImageJ\jre\bin
For IJSerial itself, see the eslide.net web site, it is simply an
ImageJ plugin with an additional properties file. These two files
should be in Program Files\ImageJ\plugins\Serial
On Mac OSX, there is a problem that is not correctly described in the
documentation:
Directory /var/lock must exist and have write permission for the user
running ImageJ. RXTX creates lock files there to avoid different
programs accessing the serial line at the same time. After a program
crash it might be necessary to delete the lock file there to get it
running again.
