replacement the black spots by local average back ground intensity

Dear Friends,

In a image frame I have some particle image. To separate these images
I have created one binary mask using size and intensity  thresholding,
After substracting the mask from original image it leaves some
black spot in the original image. My objective is to replace the black spots

by local average back ground intensity. Can anybody please help me.
