Skeleton length

Dear ImageJ users,

This is the first time post for me. I do not have enough knowledge for
programing plugins or macros.

I would like to measure individual skeleton lengths in a image.
I found "Skeleton Length" plugin in plugin data site.
However, it measures only total length of skeleton.

Are there any suitable plugins or macros for the purpose? If possible, it is
desirable that the program can measure the maximum length of the skeleton,
when the skeleton contains side branches.

I hope to use the program to measure the root lengths of plant seedlings.

It is wonderful if "Set Measurements" command contains "Skeleton Length"
option, and "Analyze Particles" command measures the skeleton lengths of the
string shape particles.
