Hi, just getting to grips with imageJ and highly impressed.
But I have a simple question, which despite spending a great of deal
of time searching the ImageJ web site and Googling the Internet in
general I have been unable to find an answer. So I'm hoping someone
out there might know the answer and take the time and trouble to reply.
Question. I find when I'm saving files as tif files/ JPEG etc ImageJ
doesn't seem to generate the file extension required for image type
recognition by other PC based programmes. All is fine if I manually
type the file extension, but as I'm currently crunching 100's of
image files it becomes very time consuming to do this.
Now I know PC are not as clever as Mac's in this respect but if
anyone knows how to get ImageJ to add a file extension when saving
pictures on a PC I'd be very grateful.
The problem only occurs when I'm saving images as a different name or
format to the original image. If I open a tif file with a tif
extension and simply save the file..... extension remains and no
problem. However, the problem occurs whenever I rename and save as
tif or change file type from TIF to JPEG.
Version is Imagej 1.40g
Cheers and cyber pints in abundance to anyone who can solve this
problem for me.
