convert pdf into image

Dear experts:

        I have a series of rat brain atlas images.  They are in pdf
format.  I wonder is it possible to convert these pdf format images
into  common image formats, e.g. DICOM, Analyze?  If yes, could you
tell me how to do that?  Your suggestions and comments are
appreciated.
