Twain and Morena

I am having a problem getting twain 6 to work with imageJ, am using a
morena license and followed the install guide.
When I activate the plugin with no other panels open in imageJ nothing
happens.
 
However if I have any other panels open, i.e. an image panel and
activate the plugin imageJ crashes.
 
Does any one have any idea's as to what may be causing this?
