problem: ImageJ opens images at 3.1%

Hi,
I am using ImageJ 1.39f on Ubuntu Gutsy.
If I open an image it is always displayed at 3.1% which is very tiny and anoying with the time because I always have to zoom every image. If I check "Edit->Options->Appearance->Open Images at 100%" the height is correct but the width is still the same.
Is there anything I can do about it?

I have used ImageJ(versions 1.37 and 1.38) before on Ubuntu Feisty and everything worked fine.
