I am not surprised since Java 1.7 is under a lot of currentl development. For
instnace I cannot run a single filter under linux (images become locked
before the filters are run).

I would suggest  to use 1.5 rather than 1.5 and 1.6.
BTW, 1.6 under linux has some problems if using KDE (not IJ's fault).
