ImageWindow maximize in 1.38

Dear IJ group,

Since I updated from 1.34 to 1.38 (yes... a long
time already), maximizing image windows in my
laptop (1280x800) or on a secondary monitor
(1600x1200) moves the window to the center and
sets the size and magnification to those that are
applied when the image is first opened.

I had a look at the code for 1.38 and checked
that the GraphicsEnvironment returns a maxWindow
rectangle which is correct (0, 0, 1280, 800), so
I was wondering whether you could give me a hint on how to solve this behavior?
