problem to open Nikon ND2 files with bioformats plugin

Thank you for suggesting Bioformats Loci tools plugin.

I downloaded loci_tools.jar and placed in plugins folder and now image J is reading the ND2 file type but is displaying some gray background and no images.

To explain bit more I collected my images on Nikon 2000 with NIS elements software version 2.30 . I acquired  a 4D image with  option available in the software. green channel ,red channel phase contrast and merge of all the three together make 4 different images in the single ND2 file.  Software alloted automatically 12 bit per each channel ( I do not know how to change this). I am able to open this ND2 file with NIS elements software but unable to open the ND2 files with Image J.  
 I would have mailed a sample image but mails with attachments are not delivered and are rejected.
