creating a fixed line segment and movable image

Hi,

I'm a fairly new ImageJ user (~4months) and have been trying to figure out
if it is possible to draw a line segment on an image and then elect to keep
the segment fixed in it's position while moving the image underneath it.

I'd like to be able to move the image and have a real-time plot profile
eventually.
