Hello Aryeh,

we had the same problem under Win2000. In spite of the 4 GB RAM only 1400
MB could be used in ImageJ. One reason for this situation is the advers
location of the OS libraries of the 32-bit Windows OS. Using Linux (in
particular Fedora Core 5) now 2700 MB can be used in one ImageJ-Task.
