hi michael,

we had no problems allocating 6GB RAM. as adam said: make sure that
ImageJ.cfg point to the right JVM (which should be installed in
'C:\Program Files' - which is the place for 64bit applications, and
*not* 'C:\Program Files (x86)' - the place for good old 32bit apps)

Mac OS X 10.4 is weak in this case: 64bit will be first available in
10.5 'Leopard'
