I think this is a bit expensive for a 2MPixel firewire camera.
Is this camera special in any sense?
In the UK you can buy a QImaging 3.3 MPixel for less than that, and it has a
(not that great) plugin that works in IJ for Win 2000/XP.
Support for IJ in linux (as far as I know) is inexistent for any camera I have
been able to find (to manufacturers: hint, hint!).
I suggest to do a bit of research in the IJ site and see what cameras are
already supported in IJ.
It also may be useful to find out what the camera manufacturer policy is
regarding "hot pixels", so you are not disappointed if you find that there
are too many "bright (hot) pixels" in the images.
