measurements

Hello

 

I am attempting to measure the maximum linear length of the x and y axis
of free-hand drawn polygons of various shapes using Image J. The only
measurement function that I can determine is suitable for this type on
analysis is the 'Fit Ellipse' function. My colleague used to own a mac
computer and suggests that it was once possible to get a maximum x and
maximum y value using NIH for Mac. Is the 'Fit Ellipse' function the
best way of doing this?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated
