Increasing the image contrast using the B&C tool
(Image>Adjust>Brightness/Contrast) increases the z-axis scale of plots
generated by Analyze>Surface Plot and by the 3D Surface Plot plugin
(http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/plugins/surface-plot-3d.html). With 8-bit
images, it appears that Analyze>Surface Plot requires that you click
"Apply" in the B&C window.
