Java Servlet/Applet in Powerpoint

I am trying to determine the best way to display stacks of images in
Powerpoint presentations.  Ideally I would like to freely navigate
forwards/backwards through a stack instead of simply converting to an .AVI
file and having to repeat over and over.

Has anyone ever tried to use an ImageJ servlet or applet from within
Powerpoint?  Is this even possible?
