Hi

Virtualdub ( http://www.virtualdub.org/ ) is one of the best video
programs Ive ever used, and should perform this task very easily.

Beware though that uncompressed avi takes up a lot of disk space.

There are several video conversion programs around.  I stumbled
across one that was developed primarily for video games, but will do
all of the conversions --and some interesting editing-- that you
need.  It is called RADVideo, and can be obtained at:

http://www.radgametools.com

The program is free, but they do ask for a donation.

Good Luck

Joel
