ImageJ reinstallation confusion!

Hi, I hope someone out there will recognize this silly problem I am having,
and know the solution!

I have a new computer (WinXP), so downloaded ImageJ from the website and
copied all my macros over from my old computer (also WinXP) that I had added
previously. But now the dialog boxes look different and are harder to
navigate through: no scroll for the mouse, and when I select multiple files
with CTRL, it returns to the top of the list after each selection and I have
to again scroll down to add the next file.

This is annoying, but I could live with it, if any of my macros or plugins
actually worked! When selecting files for the 'batch RGB merge' plugin, for
example, all my folders appear empty, even though they are full of tif
files. And I can install a macro, but when I try run it, it tells me the
macro file can't be found. Aahh! I can run the batch convert to make 8-bit
tifs from 12-bit, but I can't make overlays, or change to a defined LUT with
the macro that worked fine on the other computer.

What has happened?
Any suggestions are gratefully appreciated!
Many thanks,
Joanne
