The ImageJ 1.36b package for Windows is available in three versions:
1. Bundled with Java 1.3.1_13 (6 MB)
2. Bundled with Java 1.5.0_06 (20 MB)
3. Without Java (1.6 MB)
You can update to the latest prerelease version (1.37h) by downloading
the ij.jar file from <
http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/notes.html> into the
ImageJ folder. The 1.6 MB package uses the latest version of Java
installed on you system. For Plugins>Compile and Run to work, this must
be the Java Development Kit (JDK), not the Java Runtime Environment
(JRE). The easiest way to "install" ImageJ on a new computer is to copy
the ImageJ folder from the old computer to the new one, but this
requires that you have a jre (Java runtime) folder inside the ImageJ
folder.
