In my work, I use the parameter 'average of (slope of the curve)'.
In my images, there is a part of the curve which is approximately linear
for all images. Therefore, I resorted to evaluate the slope of each
curve over the linear tract, and average it for all curves belonging to
the image.
But I think it mainly depend on the problem...
