Dear list,
I hope this is not too off-topic, but I am developing ImageJ plugins using
Eclipse, and I really like it except I keep running up against what appears
to be an absolute memory limit of 63MB. You can¹t set the memory in an
Eclipse instance of ImageJ by Edit>Options>Memory... Because it generates an
error ³ImageJ is unable to change the memory limit.² However the Current
limit it gives is 144MB well beyond the 63MB Out of Memory Eclipse error.
I tried changing the eclipse.ini file from the default:
-Xms40m
-Xmx256m
to
-Xms256m
-Xmx512m
but I still get the Out of Memory All available memory (63MB) has been
used. I have been struggling with this for a long time but can¹t seem to
find any help in the Eclipse Help or Help lists they seem reluctant to
deal with ImageJ issues for some reason. I am using a Mac G5 dual 2.3GHz
with 2GB ram. If anyone knows how to increase the memory in Eclipse, I
would be very grateful. Thanks in advance.
