Hi,
I was resigned to spend thousands of dollars on Image-Pro software,
just learned about ImageJ, and hope some experienced users can tell
me if ImageJ will work for my needs.
I'm a member of a team that monitors seabird nesting colonies on
islands off the California coast. We have hundreds of digital aerial
photographs that we need to "analyze." Our needs are relatively
simple. We want to manually tag each photo using distinct
characters, preferably letters, for each of five categories (well-
built nest, poorly-built nest, chicks, territorial bird, non-
territorial bird). We would like the software to then count the
number of each character to give us the total number of well-built
nests, etc. And last, we would like to save the marked image,
preferably as a JPEG.
Simple, right? Can ImageJ do all that?
Best regards,
