ned help with new macro for backgournd subtraction from ROIs

I know we have a great macro for background subtraction given a single ROI.

But what i need is a way to subtract the background from the average intensity
calculated from multiple ROIs.

Basically what I need is a way to calculate the average intensity of multiple
ROIs in a given image. (maybe 3 ROIs) Then use *that* average of the
intensities to background subtract the entire image.

IS that possible? if so, how?  I could really use some help here. Any and all
comments are welcome.
