Hi Mohamed,

this is a misunderstanding.

The 32-bit version cannot have more memory than 1700 MB.
The 64-bit version can have any amount of memory you like, less or more than 1700 MB.

In the documentation, the text "64-bit OS and a 64-bit version of Java are required to use more than ≈1700 MB of memory." means that the 64-bit versions are a necessary condition for using >1700 MB.
It is not intended to mean "Someone (or something) enforces the 64-bit versions to use >1700 MB".
