I may refer you to either a MereoTopology approach from G. Landini et al
  http://www.dentistry.bham.ac.uk/landinig/software/spatial/rcc8d.html
or using 3DRoimanager and the distances between borders; 0 distance
between borders of objects indicate objects are touching :
