Mean Linear Intercept ImageJ

Dear ImageJ Users, I am trying to calculate an stereological parameter called N_{L which is the number of interceptions of a phase or grain per unit length of a scan line. Have any of you used ImageJ or its plugins to get this parameter in an image. I appreciate any kind of help or information that can lead me to calculate this parameter in my images.
