How to define the middle automatically

I got several vertebral bodies. They were scanned by Micro CT. There are about 900 slices.

I ant to draw a line between the middle of upper line and lower line. I hope this can be done automatically, because there are 900 pictures.
Maybe one of you can help me, Thanks a lot.
