I am also interested to see one of your example 64-bit RGB images. Which
file format? TIFF? PNG? Something else?
Did you try opening your file using the File > Import > Bio-Formats command
(available as part of the Fiji distribution of ImageJ;
http://fiji.sc/)? Do
you get 4 separate 16-bit channels then?
If not, please feel free to send a sample non-working file to us using
Fiji's Help > Upload Sample Image command.
