The File>Open Samples>Cache Sample Images command in ImageJ 1.48d throws an exception when it attempts to download the 26MB Mitosis 5d stack. You can work around this problem by upgrading to the 1.48e daily build. It will download all the sample images except the Mitosis stack, which you can open and save (using File>Save As>ZIP) as Spindly-GFP.zip in the ImageJ/samples folder. The Spindly-GFP.zip file may be corrupted but I can't replace it until the U.S. Government shutdown ends.

Due to the shutdown, you can't use Help>Update ImageJ to upgrade to the daily build. Instead, thanks to Johannes Schindelin, you can download it from

     http://wsr.imagej.net/download/ij.jar
