Selecting and measuring bvs

Hi

 

I am trying to measure the Bvs shown above.  They represent "neovascularity"
in symptomatic tendons.  I look for the maximum that occurs with the pulse.


 

Is there a way to automate "red" area selection?  I can leave it in a RGB
format.

 

Is there an alternative to free hand selections and using ROI manager?

 

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with writing JAVA script and am limited to
tools.

 

When I change the area from pixels to cms,  do I just change cm in image
properties?

 

Thank you in anticipation.  I apologise for being limited in developing but
I am foremost a clinician.
