Resizing a zoomed image window resets the zoom factor?!?

Dear list,
I recently updated to 1.48q and observed that when resizing a (previously) zoomed window, the zoom factor seems to reset to its original value. That was not the case in the earlier version (I was using 1.48h10). Is that "normal"?
